A Married At First Sight breakout star is set to replace expert Mel Schilling.
Lucinda Light, a fan favourite on the eleventh season of the hit Nine reality TV series, is ‘already being primed’ to take over from Schilling according to Woman’s Day.
An insider told the magazine that Schilling’s health woes may play into the decision, with the UK-based TV star not ‘looking to travel as much’ given her recent cancer diagnosis.
The 52-year-old was diagnosed with bowel cancer just before Christmas and recently began chemotherapy.
Light, 43, addressed the rumours, telling the publication she would jump at the chance to remain with the hit franchise.

‘If given the opportunity to be a relationship expert on a show like Married At First Sight, I would strive to infuse the experience with additional resources and tools to help participants communicate effectively and strengthen their bonds,’ she told Woman’s Day.
Lucinda has been paired with Victorian business owner Timothy, 51, on the show’s current season.
The news comes after Schilling began her chemotherapy journey in the UK this week after her recent surgery to have a tumour removed.
In series of Instagram Stories on Monday, Mel could be seen outside Kingston Hospital in England, where she’s currently staying while she films MAFS UK.
‘So here I am, day one of chemo,’ Mel said as she rugged up against the cold with a massive puffer jacket and scarf.
‘I have so much stuff with me thanks to all the advice I had on what to bring. It’s like I’m moving in for six weeks. Here it goes.’

She hung a massive bag on her arm, packed full of all her essential items, including a very soft looking blanket.

It comes after Mel revealed the agony she was left in before her bowel cancer diagnosis, admitting there were times she ‘could have gone to that dark place’.
Mel was diagnosed with the disease just before Christmas after she began experiencing symptoms while filming the Australian version of the show.
Speaking to New! magazine, Mel recalled the severe pain she was in while at work, saying: ‘I was doubled over and shouting – the pain was so intense.’
Her doctors originally thought her symptoms were simply constipation, but Mel got a second opinion from a London gastroenterologist after losing her appetite.
